Andrea Fronk of Harpist Houston provides classical and contemporary music for elegant events in the East Texas area. In Galveston, she has provided music for receptions at venues such as the Hotel Galvez, The Tremont House, Ashton Villa, the 1894 Grand Opera House, and the San Luis Resort. On one occasion, she performed for a wedding on a Carnival cruise ship. In Houston, she performs in venues such as The Coronado Club, Movado Jewelry Boutique, and fine dining establishments such as the Brownstone.
Andrea has also represented Adams & Green Entertainment at the Bridal Extravaganza at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Mrs. Fronk was featured at the 2007 Dickens on the Strand Feast at Garten Verein, an event attended by the mayor of Galveston, hosted by the Galveston Historical Foundation. She
shared her music at the open house for UTMB Medical Branch's President
Dr. David Callender, located at the Open Gates Mansion in Galveston, TX.
TrainingAndrea began studying the harp 20 years ago with Joy Yu Hoffman, acclaimed classical and folk harpist of Chicago. She furthered her studies with Sarah Bullen, Principal Harpist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and with Dr. Alison Attar. She acquired a music scholarship at Brigham Young University while studying with ShruDeLi Ownbey. She chose to broaden her focus by graduating in Biology
She offers 15 years of professional musical experience. She has been featured in master classes with Judy Loman and Lynne Aspnes, among other accomplishments.
Upon moving to the Houston area, she was well received at a recital for the Houston professional harpists of the American Harp Society. She is associated with the Galveston Island Arts Academy.
